A Few Tips to End a Date
If you think the date you have is not worth spending time with, it is better that you end up the date without giving your partner false hopes. Make use of excuses like emergency calls or a meeting to end up the date without offending the partner. If your partner is not a fool, he/she will understand the message that you are trying to get across when she/her hears such excuses while you are on a date. Still, it is important to leave without hurting them. Do not leave the person without mentioning your gratitude for spending time with you.
You should never give false hopes to a person you don’t intend to see again. Try to communicate to the other person your intention to stop the relationship without offending or hurting their feelings. Any attempt you make to soften the blow for your date may create problems for you and them in future.
Be decent and gentle to the girl or boy who comes with you even if you decide to end the relationship. Make sure that the words you use are not insulting or demeaning to your date. If you are man, it is your duty to pay the bills at the restaurant. Do not attempt to split the bill thinking that you are not going to meet the other person anymore. Try to behave in a respectful manner by making the payment before you part ways. If the lady with you insists that she should be allowed to pay her half understanding the situation, you can let her pay her portion of the bill the way she likes.
Tell your partner that you like them if you really want to spend more time with him/her. If you have any doubt about compatibility, do not plan activities like deep throat kissing and sex immediately. Make sure that you are ready to accept your partner before you plan other dates with him/her. Remember, it is not fair to let down a person after taking advantage of him or her.
It is always better not to offer friendship as a substitute for the dating relationship. Dating is something based on romance and friendship has nothing to do with a date. So if you do not intend to continue with actually dating it is always better to stop it abruptly rather than flirting with it.
